Biography
Elizabeth Burns is an attorney with Hollingsworth Law Group, admitted to the Indiana State Bar, who has dedicated her legal education and professional experience to family law and child advocacy.
Elizabeth graduated from New York Law School. During her three years in law school, she dedicated her time to vast areas of family law. Elizabeth has worked for various non-profit organizations and firms including Children's Law Center, where she represented children in custody and visitation cases; Legal Aid Society and Center for Family Representation, where she represented both children and parents involved with the child welfare system; and Fersch LLC, a family and matrimonial firm in downtown Manhattan, where she represented parents dealing with high-conflict custody disputes and high-asset divorces. All these experiences helped Elizabeth develop a strong foundation in client advocacy and a deep understanding of the challenges families face during times of uncertainty and transition.
As a child of divorce, Elizabeth understands the profound impact family law matters have on children, individuals, and families. Her personal experience inspired her commitment to this area of practice and continues to shape her approach to client representation. Elizabeth is deeply aligned with HLG's mission of helping clients not only navigate all aspects of their present court case but emerge with greater certainty, a sense of peace, and confidence in their family's future.
