Divorce Done Differently – A Unique Approach To Divorce Mediation
“Divorce Done Differently” is not just our firm’s motto – it is our commitment, it is our mindset.
I hold a distinct perspective on divorce mediation. My certification as a relationship coach from the Center for Thriving Relationships in Bloomington gives me the skills necessary to guide couples through mediation. I collaborate with therapists and psychotherapists to maintain the mental well-being of both sides in these cases.
Through mediation, couples can work together to come to an agreement on all areas of their divorce, including asset division, child support and alimony, child custody and visitation. Through every step of the process, I am here to help you make your voice heard and explore unique options that work for you.
I am committed to helping my clients in any way that I can. Having experienced the impact of divorce as a child and in my own marriage, I understand the impact parents’ behaviors can have on their children. With years of therapy informing my practice, I offer invaluable advice on how to minimize the emotional toll on the younger family members during the divorce process.
Divorce Mediation
Most people think of divorce as an ugly battle between spouses as they end their marriage, but there are other ways of ending this chapter of your life. Our approach, Divorce Done Differently, will not only support you during the legal process, but set you up to thrive future life. Beyond our firm’s unique approach, there are other ways…better ways…healthier ways…less expensive, less emotionally traumatic, and more peaceful ways of resolving your case without subjecting yourself to the traditional path of litigation.
Mediation is a more amicable and cost-effective alternative to traditional litigation, focusing on collaboration and communication. In this process, a neutral third-party (the mediator) assists both spouses in discussing and negotiating the terms of their divorce, including asset division as well as child-related issues such custody, and child support. This approach encourages a cooperative environment, allowing couples to reach a mutually satisfactory settlement while maintaining greater control over the outcomes and preserving their relationships for future co-parenting.
All of the attorneys at Hollingsworth Law Group participate in the mediation process as attorneys representing clients through the process. And, in addition to representing one party in a mediation, HLG also has a Family Law Mediation Team comprised of divorce & family law attorneys & legal professionals who are also trained mediators.
At Hollingsworth Law Group, we understand that divorce can be a challenging and emotionally charged process, but it does not have to be contentious or litigious. Our HLG Team believes strongly in the power of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) to resolve marital issues with dignity, respect, and peace. Mediation offers a different path through your divorce journey, and we would be honored to guide you through the process.
